What can I use the music for?

The majority of IVOR licenses are recording licenses, intended to be used to record new music as well as make a music video. IVOR supplies the music, and you may sing, or play over the piece. Sync licenses exist on this page and feature greater detail than our Standard and Exclusive licenses.

What is the difference Standard
and Premium subscriptions?

All details regarding subscriptions are featured on the subscriptions page to help you determine which subscription package is right for you.

What files do I receive upon delivery?

This may depend on your subscription tier and the license you purchased. Every license at minimum comes with an MP3/WAV file. Trackout (stems) are included with our Premium Subscription, or can be added on for an additional fee. You can see exactly what files you will be delivered on the license page or before you add the order to your cart.

Can I monetize my song?

Each track for purchase on the website will have license options that will determine the specifics of monetization. In most cases you will be allowed to monetize the song or visual media that you make with the track. Depending on the license you may be required to register a publishing split, usually 50/50, however please check your license agreement before your purchase for all details.

How can I tell which license
is right for me?

Ultimately this depends on what kind of success you see yourself having with the song. You’ll want to think about what files you need in order to record your song. Details including limitations of streams, video plays and monetization will be featured on the license page to make this decision as easy as possible for you.

What do the different licences mean?

There are only two types of licenses – Exclusive & Non-Exclusive (Standard). Further details are included below.

Can other people buy or use the
beat I just bought?

Yes. This is one of the benefits of purchasing the exclusive license. When you purchase a beat exclusively, it is automatically removed from the IVOR website and cannot be sold anymore. However, anyone who has leased the beat before you buy the exclusive license can still use it within the terms of their license.

Can I see the complete licence terms
before I buy a beat?

The details of the license terms will be featured on the license page and will also preview before placing your order.

How do I stop/change e-mails I’m
signed up for?

Our weekly newsletter is a great insight into IVOR favorite artists and playlists, releases and promotions. However, we understand you may want to opt-out some, or all, of these updates. This can be managed by heading to the “email preferences” section of the website. Here you can opt in or out of each email type.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your IVOR account by going to your Account settings, scrolling down and clicking “Delete Account”.
